Common questions
How do I calculate in-hand salary from CTC?
Subtract the employer PF, gratuity and any variable pay from the yearly CTC, then take off your own PF, professional tax and income tax. Divide by 12. The Padimachi calculator does this for you.
Why is in-hand salary less than CTC?
CTC includes money that is not paid every month: employer PF, gratuity, insurance and variable pay. Income tax and your PF share are also deducted.
What is notice period buyout?
If you leave before your notice period ends, many companies ask you to pay the pay for the days you skip. Some count it on basic pay and some on gross pay, so ask your HR.
This is an estimate based on FY 2025-26 income tax rules. Check your payslip for the exact figure.
