What stays on your device

Your progress, XP, streak, answers, and the text of your resume or job description are stored in your own browser (local storage). Resume files are read inside your browser. Scoring, questions and the voice guide run on your device. Voice-to-text uses your browser's speech service (Chrome sends audio to Google's speech recognition while you speak).

Optional resume backup

If a tick box appears on the upload page and you tick it, a copy of the file you upload is saved to a private folder in the Padimachi owner's Google Drive. It is saved only when you tick the box, under a random file name that does not contain your name. It is used to help improve Padimachi and, if you ask, to help you. It is not sold, published or shared with other companies. Untick the box any time to stop future backups. If sending fails, a short text copy may wait in your browser and be sent next time you visit.

Please do not upload

Government ID numbers, bank details, passwords or anyone else's private information. Remove your Aadhaar or PAN number from a resume before uploading it.

Delete your data

In the app, open Me and tap Reset everything to remove your data from this browser. To ask for deletion of a backed-up file, contact us: contact details will be added soon. Tell us roughly when you uploaded it and your field so we can find it, because files are not stored under names.

Visit counting

When the owner has switched it on, Padimachi counts visits. It sends a random number stored in your browser, the name of the page you open (for example "learn") and the kind of action (for example "quiz"), plus whether you are on a phone or computer. It never sends your resume, name, answers or any personal detail. Browsers with Do Not Track on are not counted. Clearing site data gives you a new random number.
